Licensed Acupuncturist
Education: Graduated from pacific college of oriental medicine in 1997 with a masters degree in traditional oriental medicine. Have competed several different certification programs. I guess it could be said that I like to learn and that if I am not evolving in my learning the stagnation makes me feel like I'm suffocating.
Specialty/Focus: My treatment style has evolved and continues to evolve into a blend that integrates a subtle mostly non insertive
style of Japanese acupuncture with Zero Balancing manual therapy and Sotai(ho movement therapy.
As far as the focus of this style of treatment it's hard to pin down a specific complaint. It is more along the lines that I aspire to treat the entire person
rather than a specific problem. Maybe this is better said as balancing the system to address any symptom; meet a complaint, whether it be pain, anxiety, digestive
issues, or anything that one may be struggling with within the context of the entire person. The forrest of a person versus isolation of a one tree. That said, at
its essence, in this modern society; it seems that most issues folks are wrestling with are rooted in trying to find balance & harmony within what it is most often
an incredibly demanding stressful unstable manifestation of the world.
Personal: Love to wake up early, drink tea, do some silent sitting, some breath work to release what gets in the way of the settled spirit. Take walks/hikes through cities & forests. Learn to play music, read a good book, watch a well done movie that either gets the adrenaline pumping or makes the heart open & tears flowing. I've got two grown up daughters, Jesse and Rachael who live in California, who I clearly see as blessings to this world and I am honored to be part of their lives.
