Amanda Finley

Licensed Acupuncturist

Education: The Evergreen State College, Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine

Education: Continuing education in Applied Channel Theory and Visceral Manipulation

Specialty/Focus: I love to work with chronic and complex conditions. The channel theory work I do involves palpating the acupuncture channels for tightness, weakness, and nodules, and putting that together with questions. This helps me hone in on the primary pattern and start there. In addition, a deep shiatsu-based neck release treatment where I work on all the channels that go to the head, is effective for whiplash, tension, headaches, sinus problems, and more.

Personal: I love exploring the outdoors - hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, whatever the season calls for. I have an active meditation and yoga practice.

Specialty/Focus: MEDICAL MASSAGE, MYOFASCIAL MASSAGE TECHNIQUE, SWEDISH, TRIGGER POINT WORK, INJURY TREATMENT, and SPORTS MASSAGE. My focus is on addressing or relieving connective tissue restrictions.

Specialty/Focus: I incorporate SWEDISH MASSAGE, DEEP TISSUE TECHNIQUES, and, at times, FOOT REFLEXOLOGY in hopes of providing an overall relaxing and therapeutic massage experience.

Specialty/Focus: INJURY TREATMENT, DEEP TISSUE, REIKI, HOT STONE THERAPY, SPORTS MASSAGE, KINESIO TAPING, LOMI LOMI, MYOFASCIAL RELEASE, TRIGGER POINT; CRANIOSACRAL, INTRAORAL ENDORSEMENT, HYPNOTHERAPY. I feel that the body is complex and every individual has different treatment needs. I believe in integrating techniques and adapting to the client's needs, making every treatment unique. I enjoy CranioSacral, Neuromuscular treatment, and Myofascial Release. I love to learn and add to my toolbox, so I am always taking classes to expand my knowledge.

Personal: My own injuries, recovery experiences, and the practitioners I have met along the way have been my greatest teachers in exploring my career in bodywork. Specialty/Focus: Compassionate relaxation massage is my specialty. Customizing my work to each client, I mix Swedish and Hawaiian lomi lomi massage techniques to personalize every massage. I have taken many classes in the last 19 years, and sprinkle a little of many modalities as appropriate.

Personal: After a severe collision in 1994, a few therapist friends gifted me with healing massages. The hours beneath their loving hands was a cherished time of peace. My background includes over 20 years in Bookkeeping/Office Management and over 10 years in Sales. I've also owned and managed businesses, including a full service floral and gift shop in NW Washington.
